As Engineering and STEM careers are in more demand than ever before, demonstrating the rising interest in professionals who can build, implement, and maintain new technology. With that ideology of progressive approach, BJIT conducted the first-ever mass-scale recruitment test on Friday 11th of March. Recognizing the high demand for Engineering and STEM careers more than ever before, BJIT conducted written examinations on SQA, Full-stack engineer Java, Web, and Embedded solution. It was the first mass-scale examination held after COVID on BJIT premises and 500+ participants attended the exam.
The exam was conducted at the BJIT premises while maintaining all health and safety measures. The examinees maintained 3 feet distances and were allowed face coverings during the examination. To ensure equal opportunities, high-stakes exams with continuous assessments and appropriate remedial programs were implemented. The examination would be considered very crucial to allow successful candidates to be given proper resources and training.
To make it more viable, experienced IT professionals invigilate and will mark the exam, and BJIT plans to hire 40 engineers and shortlisted candidates will go through a three-month training program before onboarding.
Only those who will be shortlisted will go through a three-month training program before being onboarded since BJIT believes in demonstrating the rising interest in professionals who can build, implement, and maintain new technology to take over the world.
Exams are not only out of date in format, but they are also one-size-fits-all in structure, as such, examinations with more innovative modes of evaluation and training are provided by BJIT Academy upon selection for Leadership, Flexibility, Adaptability, Critical thinking, Communication, and emotional intelligence, Creativity, and Innovation.
This isn't very surprising that we often lag in assessing candidates holistically on a few processes connected to deep thinking, doing, and even being when examinations are utilized as the main means of testing knowledge and very few higher-order abilities are tested in the process.
The pandemic, the changing technology, and the new methods of working were all causing disruptions in employment. This heightened the importance of the question for companies to begin reskilling their workforces. People across industries must find out how to quickly adapt to changing conditions, and businesses must learn how to match those individuals to new roles and activities. This dynamic is about more than just remote working. It is about how leaders reskill and upskill employees to produce new business models through innovation in the post-pandemic era.
According to a recent McKinsey Global Survey, 87% of CEOs indicated they are experiencing skill gaps in the workforce. To stabilize business operations through IT for future resilience, BJIT developed a talent strategy that focuses on developing new graduates' critical, technical, digital, and cognitive talents, as well as their social and emotional skills, flexibility, and resilience. Since this is the moment for businesses to increase their learning budgets and commit to reskilling. Developing this muscle will also help organizations prepare for future challenges.
Organizations have experienced downsizing, adaptivity difficulties with new technologies, and demographic changes due to the pandemic.
Technological capabilities stand out as a critical success element amid the crisis. Talent, the use of cutting-edge technologies, and a range of other capabilities, such as: filling more advanced tech talents than other competitors of digital technologies, moving toward experimenting with new technologies, incorporating talent in cutting-edge technologies with analytics, managing data, and cybersecurity, are among the most significant differences between successful companies and all others.
Having a culture that supports experimentation and early action is a related necessity for success. BJIT was one of the first firms to bring innovative digital technology to market during the crisis. Furthermore, they are more likely than others to report reducing the time it takes for executives to obtain crucial business information and reallocating resources to finance new projects. Both are essential components of a culture of experimentation.
With a large portion of the workforce now working remotely, the future of work has arrived unexpectedly—and well ahead of plan.
Even before coronavirus, there was a rising digital skills gap in business throughout the world. In fact, digital skills are now required for 82% of employment openings. Since the pandemic has heightened the urgent demand for specialized digital skillsets to assist organizations in becoming more aligned with today's diverse technologies and platforms. With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, BJIT suggests not only investing in technologies but also in grooming the local talent who understand systems or platforms, exhibiting a thorough working understanding of data literacy, computer programming, big data, the Cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and other topics can help you stand out globally.
To build breakthrough services, promote growth in current markets, and keep their businesses ahead of the competition, BJIT will need to enable sophisticated simulation, new data sources, interoperability, visualization, instrumentation, and new platforms. Simultaneously, fast-expanding simulation and modeling capabilities, improved interoperability and internet of things sensors, and increased availability of tools and computer infrastructure are bridging the physical-digital divide with enthusiastic new graduates.
Covid-19 has unquestionably altered attitudes, behaviors, risk perceptions, and basic methods of working globally, learning, and swiftly living under a crisis. BJIT, leaders in technology are now in a position to help individuals and businesses more than ever before for the next crisis to flourish while the world recovers from the last. Perhaps, this is one of the most significant prospects for young talents to jumpstart their career.
