This event will be a milestone for directly engaging with Japanese IT companies and representing Bangladeshi talent on global platforms. BJIT along with Globalgeeks will fully support the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dhaka University to make code samurai a successful event.

The Computer Science and Engineering department of Dhaka University and Bangladesh-Japan venture company BJIT with several Japanese IT companies are going to organize the highly anticipated hackathon with Code Samurai 2022. The registration process will begin in mid-August, and it will continue till the end of September. The registration process will begin on August 25, and it will continue till the end of September. The main hackathon event will be held on December 20 -21. The event venue is the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the University of Dhaka and the TSC Auditorium.

 

Hackathon is a worldwide famous Programming Contest which is conducted on large scale day-long competition. This competition is a great way to inspire the student’s problem-solving skills. In Code Samurai 2022 the participants will get the opportunity to work on industry-based topics to analyze the use of technology in global problem-solving. 

 

The modern technological revolution is playing an important role in the advancement of industrial development and improvising of the human lifestyle. There has been a lot of progressive adaptation of IT with robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) which are becoming crucial aspects of modern civilization. The goal of this hackathon is to prepare the students for the upcoming revolution so that they can make a better contribution to society. It will also add significant value to their future careers.

 

This time in Code Samurai 2022 we will follow a format coordinated in two phases. The initial phase will consist of an online programming test where the participants will attend an interactive aptitude test with basic programming questions based on IT topics. The selected teams will then proceed on to the next phase of Day long hackathon contest which will focus on the areas where technology and innovation can help resolve global problems. The main event of the Hackathon will take place in December 2022.

 

This year the event will be a grand celebration of 50 years of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship and 100 years of Dhaka University. We are excited to welcome many renowned Japanese companies to join this event. This will be a great networking opportunity for the students to showcase their talent and get career-intensive grooming from industry experts.

 

Moreover, meeting with new fellow students, scholars from different universities and leading IT people from Japan and Bangladesh will add a unique experience for the participants. Special recognition for participation. Also, there will be prestigious internship and IT career growth opportunities in Japan.  

 

These Japanese IT companies are interested in recruiting young talented IT engineers in Bangladesh. This event will be a milestone to get connected directly with Japanese IT companies and represent the Bangladeshi talent on the global Platform. 

 

A press conference was held at the university's computer science and engineering department auditorium on Wednesday, to give details about the arrangement. Professor of the department. Upama Kabir, Professor Dr. Md., Mamun-Or-Rashid and Mehedi Masud, COO of BJIT Limited were present.

 

It was informed in the press conference that Dhaka University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Bangladesh-Japan Venture Company BJIT along with several Japanese IT companies are jointly organizing the much-anticipated hackathon Code Samurai 2022. The journey of this hackathon started in 2019. But due to the corona epidemic, this event was not possible for two consecutive years. The hackathon is being organized again on December 20 and 21 as the situation has changed relatively. The registration process for Code Samurai 2022 will start from the last week of August until the end of September. The main hackathon event will be held on 20 and 21 December 2022. Venue: Department of Computer Science and Engineering and TSC Auditorium, University of Dhaka.
