Dhaka, Bangladesh - November 09, 2023 – The Honorable State Minister for ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, recently underscored the pivotal role played by BJIT, a leading IT company, in the remarkable growth of the Information Technology sector in our country. He mentioned that “Japan is Bangladesh's 6th largest export destination for software. We aim to develop more companies like BJIT and prepare larger companies for the Japanese market.”

Collaborative programs such as B-JET and other ITE initiatives have solidified this fruitful partnership. Building on this success, there are ambitious plans to expand investments and bolster export earnings to Japan in the foreseeable future.
The discussion also encompassed the potential for providing services to Japanese companies from Bangladesh within the service industry. Additionally, there was an exploration of the prospect for Japan to consider Bangladesh as the next destination for establishing Research and Development centers.
Japan currently stands as the sixth-largest export destination for the Bangladeshi software sector. Among the 60 countries receiving software exports from Bangladesh, Japan holds a prominent position. The government's objective is to nurture the growth of enterprises similar to BJIT, with a special emphasis on targeting the Japanese market, thereby further enhancing bilateral trade relations.
